The words in Joel 2:25-26 — “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten... You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame”
— were spoken during one of the darkest
moments in Israel’s history.
The nation had just experienced a devastating locust invasion that stripped the land bare. Crops failed, famine spread, and people faced despair. For an
agricultural society like ancient Israel, this disaster meant more than lost harvests; it symbolized the collapse of life, livelihood, and hope.
Joel 1:4 describes a

chewing locust left, the
swarming locust has eaten; what the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten; and what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.” This sequence indicates successive waves of locusts over a period that possibly spanned several agricultural seasons or years, with each new swarm consuming whatever was left from the
previous one.
When God says in Joel 2:25, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,” the word “years” refers to multiple harvest cycles lost to the locust invasion. Some Bible historians say this could mean, at least, two to four years of famine and hardship. The word ‘years’ also refers to the total span of the loss experienced, including the wasted time, resources, and opportunities the people suffered during the calamity.
Typically, the locust plagues Joel refers to could last several years, provided that weather conditions allowed successive breeding cycles. A single locust swarm could devastate thousands of square miles, stripping trees and crops from the land. The famine that followed could last long after the insects were gone. It could
last long enough to destroy several harvests and plunge the nation into deep economic and emotional suffering. That’s what makes God’s promise so powerful and comforting. He didn’t just promise to replace the crops of one season, but to restore all the lost years, symbolizing total
recovery and renewal.
In the middle of that ruin, God’s voice broke through with a message of mercy and restoration. He promised to “restore the years” that had been lost, not just the crops or the economy, but the wasted time, the shattered dreams, and the emotional
This promise of renewal is the heartbeat of this book to assure you that “You Will
Rejoice Again,” regardless of the loss, pain,
and devastation you have suffered. It reminds us that even after the hardest seasons of loss, God can bring joy out of sorrow, fruitfulness out of barrenness, and beauty out of ashes. His restoration is never partial; it is complete, overflowing,
and redemptive.

the face of despair, and strength in times of weakness. It calls you to look beyond the losses and believe that God can make
your latter days greater than the former.
Just as He restored Israel’s land and dignity, He will restore your peace, your confidence, your opportunities, and your joy. This book invites you to rediscover the joy that comes from trusting God’s aithfulness. It is a journey from pain to praise, from ruin to restoration, and from tears to testimony. The Night Will End
Iriam sat by the window of her small apartment, the city lights blurring through her tears. Just a few years earlier, she had been full of dreams. She was married, running a small fashion business, and expecting her first child. But everything changed when her husband fell ill and
passed away unexpectedly.
We all make plans, pouring our hearts into them. But life has a way of throwing us a curveball, turning everything upside down. The book of James reminds us that
while we can't control these surprises, we
can trust the One who does. God holds our tomorrows, and we can rest in the promise that He guides our steps for our good.
James 4:13-15:
® Come now, you who say, “Today or
tomorrow “we will go to such and such a city,
spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”;
™ whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and
then vanishes away.
® Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”
It's not wrong to make plans. The problem is when we treat our plans like promises we can control. James reminds us that our lives are fragile, and true wisdom lies in holding our plans with an open hand, trusting that God's good will
is better than our perfect plan.
For Miriam, bills piled up, customers disappeared, and friends who once promised support drifted away. Every night felt longer than the last. She prayed but heard only silence, and her heart
began to wonder if God had forgotten her. “It’s Not Over For You!
One evening, after yet another rejection
from a potential client, she whispered,
“Lord, I’ve lost everything. What else do You want from me?” In the quiet of that moment, she opened her Bible, and her eyes fell on Joel 2:25-26 (NKJV): “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten... You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you.” The words felt alive, as though God Himself was sitting beside her, assuring her that her loss was not the end of her
Encouraged by what she _ received, Miriam started again, sewing small pieces for neighbors, trusting God with each step. Within a year, she received an unexpected opportunity to design uniforms for a local school. That one job

You are a child of the living God, a child of destiny, and your heavenly Father wants you to live in joy, not in sorrow. God is not interested in seeing you cry or struggle endlessly. His plan is to take you to a place of lasting peace and joy, a place where you no longer have to strive in your own strength. There is absolutely nothing God cannot turn around for your good.
“God Knows What You Are Going Through
I may not know what you are going through right now—whether it is pain, struggle, or delay—but I want you to know that joy is coming. I may not know what has been holding you back or what unseen force has been working against your progress, but I assure you that joy is
on the way.
If you refuse to give up, if you stay focused and keep trusting God, you will soon experience His joy in every area of your life, including your family, your home, your work, your ministry, and your
purpose. The Almighty God can turn
sorrow into laughter and setbacks into testimonies. What looks like an end can become a powerful new beginning in His hands.
The difficulties you face build in you the spiritual muscle to keep you going. As you keep going, your faith is proven genuine. Whatever has been lost can be restored, and whatever has been broken can be rebuilt. Hold on in faith, because your season of joy is nearer than you think.
He knows your efforts, your pain, and your waiting, and He knows exactly how to connect you with the right people and opportunities that will move you into

His glory and power in your life, everything will begin to change. Whatever your current situation, whether it’s disappointment, waiting, or difficulty, be assured that joy is coming. The night of weeping may seem long, but as Psalm 30:5 reminds us, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in

The Almighty God can do anything to fill your life with lasting joy. Joy is what keeps life meaningful and gives strength for every new day. You need joy to live
well, to fulfill your destiny, and to bless
others. Joy helps you stay committed to God's work, to grow in wisdom and understanding, and to shine as His child wherever you are. It is joy that keeps your heart steady when life feels heavy.
“* | When Joy Comes
When true joy fills your spirit, sorrow loses its power. Joy brings healing where there has been pain, peace where there has been confusion, and hope where there has been despair. It ends long seasons of affliction and drives away shame. As Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” With that joy in your heart, you can rise above every trial and live the victorious life God has
designed for you.
Life can be heavy at times. We all go through moments when our hearts are weary, our spirits are low, and our strength feels gone. The people in Nehemiah’s time knew this feeling very
After returning from exile, they were rebuilding not just their city walls, but their lives, their faith, and their hope. When the Word of God was read to them, they began to weep because they realized how far they had fallen from God’s will and almost lost the courage to continue rebuilding anything. But Nehemiah, their leader, spoke a life-giving truth: “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
This verse reminds us that joy is not something we create by our own effort; it is something we receive from God. It is divine joy, born from His presence and promises, that gives us power to endure
and overcome.
God wanted His people to understand that restoration comes not through tears alone but through joy in His forgiveness. The same God who allowed their exile was now rebuilding their hope. The reading of Scripture was not to condemn them but to revive them. Likewise, when we encounter God’s Word, He doesn’t intend to crush us but to lift us up. His truth may pierce, but it also heals.
” What Is the “Joy of the Lord“?
The “joy of the Lord” is not a shallow happiness based on comfort or success. It is the deep, quiet confidence that God loves you, forgives you, and is in control of your life. This joy is rooted in relationship, not circumstance.
True joy comes from knowing that no matter what happens, God is with you and for you. David understood this when he wrote, “In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11, NKJV). The Israelites could rejoice because God had not abandoned them—He had restored them.
Today, this same joy is available through Jesus Christ. When you know Him, you discover peace that passes understanding and a joy that no trial can steal (John 16:22).
The Power Of Joy
Everal years ago, a remarkable story emerged from South Africa about a woman named Margaret Moth, a CNN photojournalist known for her courage in war zones. In 1992, while covering a conflict in Sarajevo, she was shot in the face by a sniper. The bullet shattered her jaw, destroyed her teeth, and left her with permanent
disfigurement.
Many thought she would never smile again, let alone return to work. But Margaret refused to let pain steal her joy. After multiple surgeries, she not only
smiled again but went back to the
frontlines with a camera in_ hand,
documenting stories of hope amidst chaos.
When asked how she could face life with such

because sorrow doesn’t
change what happened, but joy gives me strength to keep going.” Her story powerfully illustrates what the Bible teaches about the power of joy. It is not just an emotion but a source of inner
In Nehemiah 8:9-10 (NKJV), the Israelites
who had returned from captivity wept
deeply as they realized how much they
had lost—spiritually, culturally, materially,
financially, and socially. Their tears reflected years of regret and brokenness. Yet Nehemiah reminded them that sorrow alone could not rebuild their lives. He urged them to find renewed strength, revival, and hope in the joy of the Lord, saying, “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:9-10:
And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, "This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.
Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those
for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
In that moment, joy became more than an emotion, became the divine energy that empowered them to rise from their ruins and face the future with faith and
enthusiasm.
v Joy gives the power to rise again
Joy gives the believer the spiritual resilience to rise again after tragedy. While happiness depends on circumstances, joy depends on faith. It is rooted in the assurance that God is present, loving, and working all things together for good.
¥ Joy helps overcome pain
The Apostle Paul understood this truth deeply. Writing from prison, he encouraged believers in Philippians 4:4 (NKJV), “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Paul was chained, yet his spirit was free because joy connected him to the One who cannot be bound. Joy does not deny pain—it overcomes it. It allows us to find meaning in suffering, peace in uncertainty, and gratitude in
waiting. v¥ Joy heals the body
Modern psychology confirms this biblical truth. Research from Harvard’s School of Public Health found that people who regularly practice gratitude and positive
outlooks have lower stress levels, stronger
immune systems, and longer lifespans. Joy literally strengthens both body and soul. It perfectly supports Proverbs 17:22 (NKJV), “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.”
v Joy sustains the soul
When believers cultivate joy, they draw on a divine resource that nothing in this world can take away. The joy of the Lord is not a feeling that fluctuates; it is a power that sustains. Even Jesus exemplified this during His greatest trial. Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV) says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross.” That joy—anchored in purpose
and eternal hope—enabled Him to face
suffering and conquer it. v Joy changes trials to testimonies
Margaret Moth’s recovery and determination to live again show how joy transforms tragedy into testimony. When we choose joy, we are not ignoring our pain—we are inviting God into it. True joy gives us the courage to keep believing, serving, and shining even in dark places. It is a quiet but unbreakable strength that whispers, “This is not the end.”
¥ Joy is divine immunity
So, whatever challenge you face,
remember: circumstances can shake your
plans, but they cannot steal your joy unless you let them. When your joy is rooted in the Lord, you carry a strength that no bullet, loss, or sorrow can destroy. Let His joy fill your heart today, for that is where true victory begins.
v¥ Joy brings victory
Whenever joy fills the heart, problems lose their grip and afflictions fade away. Joy brings celebration, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. When joy is present, you find yourself eager to do something good —something new, meaningful, and pleasing to both people and to God. Joy is not just a feeling; it is fuel for progress. It gives you strength to keep moving, to rise higher, and to
become a living testimony of God’s
goodness. v¥ Joy beautifies

the door to divine revelation and helps you understand God’s will more clearly. It fills your life with peace, transformation, and growth. As Isaiah 12:3 says, “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” Joy keeps your spirit alive, your faith strong, and
your journey forward unstoppable.
% God Wants You To Have Joy
I may not know what is on your mind right now, but I want you to know that the Almighty God desires for you to live a life filled with joy and peace. In Revelation 21:4 (NLT), the Bible gives a beautiful promise:
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone
This shows God’s heart for His children. He wants to take away your tears and replace them with joy. You were never meant to live in sorrow or misery. The
God who sees your pain is ready to bring
an end to your weeping, whether it is in your family, your health, your business,
your ministry, or your personal life.
When God says He will wipe away your tears, He is also saying He will restore your hope. He will give you confidence again, bless your efforts, and surround you with favor and peace. The end has come for every form of affliction, setback, or manipulation that has hindered your
This promise means you will not die before your time, and you will live to fulfill your destiny. You will rise, rejoice, and accomplish all that God has planned for your life. Psalm 30:11 (NKJV) says, “You have turned for me my mourning into
dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.” Rejoice, because God has promised to help you again. Your season of sorrow is over, and your
season of joy has begun.
The power to wipe away tears and turn mourning into dancing belongs to God alone. People may comfort you with kind words and good intentions, yet their help can only go so far. Even government programs and promises may raise hope,
but cannot completely heal the heart.
True transformation comes only when you allow God to touch the source of your sorrow. He knows the hidden pain, understands the cause, and holds the
solution. God has authority over every
power that brings grief and can command
them to cease.
Psalm 30:11 (NKJV) says, “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.” In a world filled with pain and uncertainty, only God offers joy that lasts, joy that restores the soul and renews the

PERE Chapter THREE
Your dniné
n 2010, the world watched one of the [== inspiring rescues in modern history, the story of the 33 Chilean miners trapped underground. A collapse at the San José copper mine buried them
alive nearly half a mile below the surface.
For 69 long days, these men lived in darkness, heat, and uncertainty, with only limited food and water. Families waited at the surface, praying and hoping that someone they loved was still alive. At first, experts thought the chance of survival was zero. But even in that hopeless place, something powerful was happening, faith and hope were being tested and
strengthened.
When rescuers finally made contact after more than two weeks, the first message that came out on a small piece of paper read, “Estamos bien en el refugio los 33”— “We are well in the shelter, the 33.” That short note sparked hope across the world.
It became a symbol of endurance and faith under pressure. After weeks of drilling, tears, and global prayer, all 33 men were brought safely to the surface one by one. Many of them testified that prayer, faith, and the hope that God would deliver them kept them alive. One miner, Mario Sepulveda, said, “I was with God and the devil. God won.”
Their story is a living testimony of Psalm 30:5 (NKJV): “Weeping may endure for a
night, but joy comes in the morning.” Nights of sorrow can feel endless, like those 69 days in the dark. Yet no night lasts forever, and no pit is too deep for God’s arm to reach. The miners’ rescue reminds us that even when life seems Joy is not the buried under disapp- absence of

of despair.
When you are downcast, it may feel as though God has forgotten you. But Isaiah 6:13 promises that He will give
you “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit
of heaviness.”
“Joy Is Not The Absence Of Trouble
Joy is not the absence of trouble but assurance of God's presence in the middle of trouble. The miners could not see the light, but they believed it was coming— and that hope became their survival.
In life, we all go through our own “underground” seasons. There may be times when dreams collapse, relationships break, or the future looks dark. But faith whispers, “Hold on; your joy is coming.” John 16:20 says, “You will weep and lament, but your sorrow will be
turned into joy.”
God specializes in divine turnarounds. The same God who brought Joseph out of prison, Daniel out of the lions’ den, and the miners out of the pit will bring you
out of your situation, too.
Joy is coming, not because everything will suddenly be perfect, but because God never fails. He knows the exact moment when your story will change. Just as sunlight broke through for the miners after long darkness, your breakthrough is
closer than it appears.
So, do not give up. Keep praying, keep
believing, and keep trusting. Your tears
are temporary, but God’s joy is eternal. He
will turn your mourning into dancing and
clothe you with gladness once again. The
darkness you see now is only a sign that
the dawn is near. Your joy is coming— and when it arrives, it will shine brighter than every sorrow that tried to steal your
” Expect Divine Transformation
Divine transformation is on the way. Your breakthrough is coming, and soon the God of Elijah will reveal Himself in your situation for all to see that He is with you. The Bible says we are overcomers with God on our side. You will overcome and
experience divine transformation.
Romans 8:28, 31 says:
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
What then shall we say to these things? If
God is for us, who can be against us?
Every mountain standing in your path will one day be removed, and every problem troubling your heart will disappear. There is no need to worry, because just as that challenge began one day, it will also come to an end. The shame that once weighed you down will vanish, and every affliction has an expiry date.
Every season in life has a purpose. Some seasons bring laughter, while others bring tears. Yet in every situation, God remains faithful. There are moments when life feels like a long night filled with sorrow,
but joy is never lost—it is simply waiting
for its time to rise. Your morning is coming. Your story is about to change for good.
“Keep Your Eyes On God
When storms rage and life seems uncertain, the key to survival is where you fix your eyes. Peter learned this lesson on the Sea of Galilee. As long as he looked at Jesus, he walked on water; the moment he looked at the storm, he began to sink (Matthew 14:29-30, NKJV). Keeping your eyes on God means choosing faith over fear and trust over
God never fails. Joshua 21:45 affirms, “Not a word failed of any good thing which
the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.” You may not understand His timing, but His promises are sure. Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time... though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.” Just because the promise is delayed does not mean it is denied.
When a farmer plants a seed, he doesn’t see fruit the next day. He waters, waits, and watches in faith. The soil hides the process, but not the promise. Likewise, God is working behind the scenes in your life. Trust Him through the hidden season—your seed of prayer will soon break forth into visible blessing.
” God Acts At the Right Time
Timing is everything with God. He may not show up early, but He is never late. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” When Lazarus died, his sisters thought Jesus was late. But His delay
was divine—it turned a When your heart grows

problems; He glorifies
His name through them.
The situations that once mocked your
prayers will one day become testimonies.
Like Sarah, who laughed in disbelief
when told she would bear a child in her
old age, you too will laugh with joy when
God fulfills His word. Genesis 21:6 says, “And Sarah said, ‘God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.’” The same place that once made you weep will soon echo with laughter and songs of
victory. “Expect A Complete Turnaround
God is the specialist in turning pain into praise and mess into miracles. Joel 2:25 says, “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.” Whatever you have lost—time, _ relationships, opportunities, or peace—God can restore it. He does not just give back what was
lost; He gives back multiplied blessings.
Consider Joseph, sold by his brothers and forgotten in prison. Yet at the right time,
God lifted him from the dungeon to the palace. The same brothers who betrayed him bowed before him. What they meant for evil, God turned for good (Genesis 50:20). Your story may look broken now, but God is rewriting it with His grace.
When God turns things around, it is visible to all. Psalm 126:1-2 says, “When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our
tongue with singing.” The same people
who once pitied you will marvel at what
God has done in your life.
% Your Faith Will Be Rewarded
Faith is not about seeing results immediately; it is about trusting God’s
word even when nothing seems to change. Hebrews 10:35-36 encourages, “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.”
When your heart grows weary, remember that every test has an expiration date. The pain will not last forever. The same God who parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and raised the dead is still working miracles today. Your faith is the bridge between today’s tears and
tomorrow’s testimony.
Like an eagle soaring above the storm,
those who trust in God rise above challenges. Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) says,
Don’t Empower Your Problem
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.” God does not promise that storms will not come, but He promises to give strength to soar through them.

n 1952, Florence Chadwick, an American long-distance swimmer, attempted to swim the 26-mile stretch between Catalina Island and_ the California coast. It was a cold, foggy morning. The water was rough, and Florence could barely see the support boats that surrounded her. For more than 15 hours, she swam tirelessly through the
freezing waves.
Finally, exhausted and discouraged, she asked to be pulled out. When she got into the boat, she discovered that the shore
was less than half a mile away. Later, she
said, “I’m not excusing myself, but if I could have seen the shore, I would have made it.”
Florence failed that day not because of her strength but because of her focus. The fog had hidden her destination, and she allowed the uncertainty to overpower her will. Two months later, she tried again— under similar conditions of thick fog —but this time she kept an esac image of the shore fixed

This story teaches a timeless truth that what you focus on grows stronger. When you focus on your problems, they gain
power. But when you fix your eyes on
God, your problems lose their grip. The Bible says in Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Peace does not come from the absence of problems; it comes from the presence of focus, focus
on the One who is greater than the storm. ” Don’t Focus On The Problem
In the Gospel of Matthew, Peter had a similar experience. When Jesus invited him to walk on the water, Peter stepped out of the boat in faith and actually began walking toward Him. But when Peter shifted his focus to the wind and waves, he began to sink. Jesus immediately stretched out His hand and said, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew
14:31). Peter’s problem didn’t pull him down, but the fear that grew from his focus did.
We often give our problems power by feeding them with fear, worry, and attention. Every time we replay the negative thoughts, the pain grows stronger. But faith redirects our focus from the waves to the Savior. When you pray instead of panic, peace replaces fear,
and your problems lose their strength. Philippians 4:6-7 gives us a clear formula: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.”
Psychologists acknowledge this biblical truth. A 2019 study from the Journal of Behavioral Medicine found that people who engage in prayer and positive focus techniques experience lower levels of anxiety and improved emotional resilience. In other words, what you focus on determines how you feel. Focusing on gratitude and faith retrains your brain to find solutions instead of magnifying
If Florence Chadwick had focused only on the fog, she would never have reached
her goal. When she focused on the shore,
she reached it. The same principle applies to your life. Stop staring at the fog—those problems, fears, and delays that cloud your vision. Instead, look beyond them and keep your eyes fixed on God’s
Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” When your attention stays on Him, your strength multiplies, your peace deepens, and your joy returns. Problems shrink in the
presence of faith.
So today, make a decision: stop feeding your fears and start feeding your faith. Refuse to give your problems power over your thoughts, words, or emotions. Every time a worry rises, replace it with
worship. Every time doubt whispers, speak God’s Word instead. Like Florence Chadwick, you may not see the shore right now, but it’s there, just beyond the fog.
God’s Word assures us in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 that:
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory...
while we do not look at the things which are
seen, but at the things which are not seen.”
Your problems may seem big, but your God is greater. Focus on Him, and soon
the fog will lift, revealing the victory that
was waiting for you all along. Your shore is closer than you think.
% Your Story Is About To Change
Your current situation is not your conclusion. God is still writing your story, and the next chapter is filled with joy, beauty, and greatness. Psalm 126:5 (NKJV) assures us, “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” Your tears are watering the soil of your breakthrough.
Soon, people will see the evidence of God's goodness in your life. The sorrow that once broke you will become the testimony that blesses others. God is
about to clothe you with transformation,
fill your mouth with laughter, and make
your life a wonder to those around you.
All you need to do is believe, hold on, and keep your faith firm. The night may seem long, but the morning is coming. God
never fails, and your joy is on the way.
Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Your waiting is not wasted, your joy is coming, and your
story is about to change for good.
Stop giving your problems power over your life. Refuse to focus on them, and they will lose their strength. When you constantly worry or dwell on your
troubles, you give them room to grow. Instead, lift your eyes to God and trust Him to do something new and wonderful
in your life.
As you shift your attention from the
The pain problem to God’s may be Kase promises, your story His promise. . . will begin to change.
The same God who turned sorrow into joy
for others will move you from poverty to prosperity, from lack to abundance, from sickness to health, and from
discouragement to peace.
You are a child of the living God, and your season of celebration is near. Soon,
people will gather to rejoice with you, saying, “Your God is truly great!” They will want to serve the same God who turned your trials into testimonies. Whatever prayers you have been waiting on, this is the time for God to remember you. When He answers, your testimony will surprise even you. You will not die
before you see the day of your joy.
Keep believing, because those who trust in the Lord always have reasons to give Him glory. People may fail you, but God never does. Hold on in faith, your miracle
is closer than you think.
When we focus too much on our struggles, we give them control over our
emotions, our outlook, and even our faith.
Problems grow bigger in our minds when we stare at them too long. But when we fix our attention on God, problems lose their power. Psalm 121:1-2 says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who
made heaven and earth.”
In psychology, researchers have discovered that people who focus on hope and gratitude recover faster from emotional setbacks. Your setback does not define your story—your perseverance does. Problems only have as much power
as you give them.
When you take your eyes off them and place your trust in God, He will carry you
to your finish line. The pain may be real,
but so is His promise. Romans 8:37 declares, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” So, lift your head, wipe your tears, and
keep moving. God is on your side.
God Never Forgets His Promises
PETE Chapter FIVE os
orts neverFors oe promise™
n 2007, a young woman named Kayla | ee from North Carolina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a disease that causes the body’s nerves to stop communicating properly
with the brain.
At just 14 years old, she was told that the illness would eventually weaken her muscles and numb her legs. For an active teenager who loved sports, it sounded like the end of her dreams. But Kayla refused to give up. She made a bold
decision—she would become a runner.
At first, her body could hardly cope. During training, her legs would go numb, and by the end of every race, she often collapsed at the finish line, unable to feel her limbs. Her coach would rush to catch her before she fell. Yet Kayla kept running.
Despite her body's limitations, she became one of the top distance runners in her state. When asked how she managed to keep going, she said, “I can’t feel my legs when I run, but I can feel the purpose God
gives me.”
Kayla’s story is a living example of how God never forgets His promises. People may give up on you, promises may be broken, and circumstances may fail—but
when God speaks a word over your life, it
stands firm. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Human promises often fall apart under pressure, but God’s
promises endure every storm.
In the Bible, Abraham experienced the same truth. God promised him a son even though he and Sarah were far beyond childbearing age. For years, the promise seemed impossible. Yet, Genesis 21:1-2
“And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken.
For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”
God never forgot. What looked delayed was simply preparing for a_ perfect moment. When people promise and fail, it can hurt deeply. Friends may disappoint, leaders may fall short, and even family may not always come through. But God’s promises are built on
His character, not our circumstances. oo His Word Will Never Fail
Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for
which I sent it.” Every word God speaks carries His integrity, His timing, and His
faithfulness.
Like Kayla, you may feel like your strength is running out. Sometimes Maybe you've praye d for years and seen little change. But just because
grow, but they never stop developing. doesn’t mean God has
you can’t see movement
forgotten you.
Sometimes God’s promises are like seeds planted deep in the soil—they take time to grow, but they never stop developing. Habakkuk 2:3 assures us, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it
tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come,
it will not tarry.”
Human promises depend on ability and memory, but God’s promises depend on His divine power. He never forgets. He never fails. Joshua 21:45 beautifully declares, “Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.” That means every single promise of God is dependable, even when everything else is
uncertain.
Kayla Montgomery could have stopped running after her diagnosis, but she chose to trust the purpose God placed in her heart. Her perseverance brought her
victory despite pain. Likewise, your story
is not over just because others have disappointed you. The God who spoke light into darkness, who raised Jesus from the grave, and who remembered Noah, Joseph, and Hannah will also remember
“Delays Are Not Denials
2 Peter 3:9 gives this assurance: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us.” God’s delays are not His denials— they are preparation for fulfillment. He is arranging the right time, the right people, and the right season for His word to come
alive in your life.
So, if people have failed you, don’t lose heart. Lift your eyes to the One who never fails. Like Kayla running through the numbness, keep pressing forward in faith. The pain you feel now is not the end—it’s part of the process that leads to promise.
God never forgets His promises. What He spoke over your life will surely come to pass. And when it happens, like Sarah, you will laugh with joy and say, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me” (Genesis 21:6). Keep believing, because the God who started your story will finish it beautifully in His perfect time.
People may make promises and fail to
keep them, but God never forgets His
promises. They may turn their backs when you need them most. But when the Almighty God makes a promise, you can be confident that He will fulfill every word concerning your destiny, your family, your calling, and your future.
God never forgets His promises. He is already in your tomorrow, waiting to unfold the blessings He has prepared for you. That is why you must keep moving forward and not give up today—your best days are still ahead. When you walk with God into your tomorrow, everything about you begins to experience divine
transformation.
Staying connected to God guarantees open doors, peace, and lasting joy. He can
turn your story around in a moment. Suddenly, problems that once seemed impossible will vanish. Setbacks, shame, sickness, and affliction will lose their grip. Poverty will be replaced with abundance, and Stayin; sorrow with celebration.

Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Those who trust Him always find their way to victory. You are one of them, and soon, your life will shine with a new story of joy, healing, and breakthrough.
